Why proof of display matters, and how to insist on it
You booked a hoarding, approved the artwork, paid the invoice, and then the campaign runs a hundred kilometres away where you cannot drive past to check. Did your flex actually go up on the right site, on the right day, facing the right way? This simple question is one of the biggest trust gaps in Indian outdoor, and it is completely fixable.
Why the gap exists
The market is fragmented. Many sites are held by small local operators, work is often arranged over phone and paper, and there is no single system that records what went live where. In that setup it is easy for a booking to slip, for a site to be double sold, or for mounting to happen a day or two late. Most of the time nobody is acting in bad faith, but without evidence you are simply trusting that everything went to plan.
What good proof of display looks like
- Dated photos of your creative on the actual site, taken after mounting.
- A wide shot that shows the surroundings, so you can confirm it is the right location.
- A close shot that shows the print quality and that the artwork is correct and undamaged.
- Updates through the run, not just on day one, especially for longer campaigns.
How we handle it
Every campaign we run is tracked, and site photos are attached as proof of display so you can see your creative in place without leaving your desk. Because each booking lives against a specific listing with its own location and details, the proof is tied to the exact site you paid for, not a generic stock image. You get a live status as the campaign moves from artwork to mounting to live.
The wider point
Proof of display is not a nice extra. It is the thing that turns outdoor from an act of faith into an accountable channel. When you can see the evidence, you can plan the next campaign with confidence, compare sites fairly, and spend where the results actually showed up.
