How to explain your hoarding plan to a boss

How to explain your hoarding plan to a boss

Many marketers like outdoor but struggle to get approval. The boss asks a fair question: why this site, and how will we know it worked? A good answer does not need fancy maths. It needs a clear planning logic and a few signals you can track.

Show the customer route

Start with where the buyer moves. If the target is working parents in Noida, show the office corridors, school routes and residential sectors. If the target is wedding shoppers, show the market streets and mall approaches. The map should make the choice feel obvious.

Separate reach from relevance

Do not defend a site only with footfall. Explain who passes it and why they matter. A smaller site outside the right market can be stronger than a large site on a generic highway. Relevance makes the spend easier to approve.

Bring the proof plan

  • Before campaign: final site list, dates and artwork.
  • Launch day: proof photos from each location.
  • During campaign: checks for longer runs.
  • After campaign: enquiry, call, search or walk in changes.
Approval gets easier when the plan has a reason, a route and a measurement signal. Without those, outdoor looks like a guess.

Use your saved plan

Build the shortlist on the site, save the options into one plan, and share the set internally before sending the enquiry. The plan view gives your boss a cleaner decision than a long chat thread. Our team then verifies availability and sends the private quotation after negotiation.

The takeaway

A boss does not need to love outdoor. They need to see why the selected sites fit the customer and how the campaign will be checked. Give them that, and the conversation becomes practical.
